Go into every renewal prepared, not pressured.
Renewals go best when the work starts months before the deadline. We plan ahead, benchmark your position, check the market where it makes sense and negotiate with carriers on your behalf, so the decision you make is a considered one.

Our renewal timeline
- 120+ days out: Review this year’s plan performance, employee feedback and business goals.
- 90-120 days out: Benchmark your plans and contributions. Agree on priorities and a budget range.
- 60-90 days out: Receive the renewal, analyze it and, where appropriate, request competing quotes.
- 45-60 days out: Negotiate, present options side by side and help you decide.
- 30-45 days out: Plan employee communication and enrollment.
(Smaller groups may receive renewals closer to the deadline. We’ll adapt the timeline to your carrier and market.)
What strategy means in practice
- A multi-year view: We look beyond this year’s number to how your costs and plan design may trend.
- Clear cost drivers: We explain what’s pushing your renewal and which levers you actually control.
- Options, not ultimatums: You’ll see several paths, including keeping what you have, with tradeoffs in writing.
- Negotiation: We ask carriers to justify increases and look for room on rates and terms where it exists.
An honest note on savings
We can’t promise lower premiums. Carriers price renewals based on factors such as claims, workforce demographics and the market, and sometimes the right answer is to keep your current plan. What we promise is preparation, a real market check when it’s warranted, and a clear explanation of why your options are what they are.
Most useful 90 to 120 days before renewal, but helpful at any time.
